South Florida Nightlife's Most Influential People

The Talk Nightlife community has compiled a list of some of the most influential people in the history of South Florida nightlife. This list is not in any particular order. [wink] Remember that this is a wiki and that any member of the community is free to add, subtract, and re-order as they please. Somebody else might come along after you and change it again but that's just how a wiki works.
- Dade Sokoloff - I might invade your Google search results, Dade. Just for fun. Dade was the founder and owner of Shadow Lounge, an influential South Beach nightclub, which opened in 1997.
- Louis Puig - The founder and owner/operator of Club Space in Downtown Miami.
- Michael Capponi - Established promoter in the South Florida area. Caters to the "A-Listers" and celebrity crowd.
- Oscar G - Acknowledged as one of the pioneers of the 'Miami Sound' in dance music, Oscar is one half of the production duo Murk along with Ralph Falcon. As of 2008, he is the resident DJ of Space in Downtown Miami.
- Biz Martinez - Legendary supporter of the beat.

Alan is also frequently requested by the world's top dance music producers to lend his vocal style to their productions.
- Gary James - One of the top party promoters in South Florida during the early-to-mid 1990s revitalization of South Beach. Developed the traveling Avenue A series of parties, where the event would take place at a different location every week.

- Michael Ault - One of the pioneers of the bottle service scene in the United States, Michael established the club Chaos in the mid 1990s to much acclaim. Currently, he is the owner of Pangaea and Gryphon in the Seminole Hard Rock Casino complex in Hollywood, FL.

- Diego (DMS12) Sanchez - Widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the current South Florida dance music scene, Diego Sanchez has been playing an influential role in the area since the late 1980s. Starting out as an intern at the terrestrial radio station HOT 105, he soon progressed into DJing and production, with his studio skills being in demand by popular musicians around the world, including Beyonce, and Emilio Estefan.
